This project was a renovation and fit-out of an existing building built in circa 1950s. Due to the building being very old, fitting out sprinklers to AS2118.1 was a challenge. Although the building was proposed to have up to 40 EV vehicles in each compartment, sprinklers were fire-engineered out with the provision of other fire safety measures such as passive fire separation, rationalised smoke exhaust systems and full hydrant coverage to AS2419.1.
